Maskêkosihk Trail Opening

Maskêkosihk Trail opened in 2022 and provides improved access to the community for residents. The road connects Rivers Edge directly to Anthony Henday Drive giving residents comfortable connectivity to all the City has to offer. This 2-kilometre stretch of arterial road is the first major roadway in the City of Edmonton to be given a name in honour of the Cree First Nations. Maskêkosihk is pronounced as Muss-Kay-Go-Sik.

Awards of Excellence in Housing

Formerly the CHBA Awards of Excellence, BILD Edmonton Metro’s Awards of Excellence is the premier awards competition for the residential construction industry in Edmonton. Each year, hundreds of projects are submitted from small family-run businesses to larger developers. Categories feature a range of awards for many different types of projects, including entry-level homes, attached and detached homes, multifamily, renovations at different price points, new and growing communities, and a variety of residential marketing efforts. Qualico Communities is proud to have been a finalist and winner in many categories over the years.
